  • Final Front: An Idea Auction

    The media advertising industry has many traditional ways to systematically impose annual investment commitments - the Upfronts and the Newfronts both created to excite the market and drive investment. In 2013, Claudia Cahill saw a void in the marketplace for a similar approach to idea trading. With a bit of a tongue in cheek approach, she created the FINAL FRONT: An Idea Auction.

    The event was designed to allow Omnicom clients the ability to participate in a day-long, hands-on event to choose and shape exclusive ideas for their brand, headed into the next planning cycle. Held every year at prominent Hollywood studios like Dreamworks, Sony, Fox and Paramount, the event brought together best in class partners who shared ideas exclusively created for the Final Front, to be pitched in sessions throughout the day. Clients had the opportunity to bid in an auction format on the ideas that were of interest, followed by a workshop with show creators to think through execution plans.

    The Final Front gave birth to many high profile, award winning entertainment programs over the years and changed the way the industry thinks about creative and media deal making.
